To briefly explain: Patrick has younger cousins and his younger brother Noah. Also mentoring was a big part of Patrick's civilian life: When you don't have television, radio, phones, newspapers or consistant computer access the guys found ways to fill their time.
The two "Afghan Dragon" clips are simply entertainment created for little ones (and big ones) back home while the guys tried to remain positive.
I've countless letters/emails from his military brothers telling how Patrick always knew how to lighten the mood, make them smile when it was rough and joke them along on a tough mission. Even on his final mission which demanded a brutal climb of endurance to reach their observation point Patrick kept popping jokes to raise the spirits of those who struggled to scale the massive cliffs and boulders as they carried full loads.
Since the "Afghan Dragon" video clips were on Patrick's camera returned to us, the men didn't know they still existed. When I had finally located the "Afghan Dragon" aka Willy B. he whole heartedly wanted the video posted to myspace. Upon discovering it one of the other soldiers in the video wrote me he had avoided all photos of the Afghanistan deployment as they were too painful. When he saw I had posted the "Afghan Dragon" video he knew immediately what it was. He viewed it and posted to me it was the first time he had been able to smile and laugh .
Even after his tragic departure from them, Patrick was still able to joke and josh, encouraging his fellow soldiers to smile and laugh. A gift unextinquished.
